Our oldest girl turned six on Friday. Six! How does the time go by so fast? I could never have imagined what a giving and imaginative daughter we'd be blessed with all those years ago when she was only a day old and 8 little pounds... she has grown into such a mature, optimistic little girl. Everything about her is energetic. Helpful. Loving. Sweet... she dotes on her friends and family like it's nobody's business. Homemade cards, handpicked flowers, paintings, she's always working on something for someone. Everyone who knows her just falls in love with her. 

She brings us so much joy. And what a gift to bring to this world, joy!

For her special day, she woke up to a birthday serenade and a special "donut cake" as the kids call it - organic cinnamon donuts and strawberries. Then we celebrated with a pizza and game night... she said "this is the best night of my life!"

not bad for a 6th birthday!
