another
christmas has come and gone... oh how excited these kids were on
christmas eve! they got their last treat out of the advent calendar and
we stayed up way too late baking cookies and watching the greatest story ever told.
as we watched the story of the holy family sleeping in a stable with
their newborn baby, I couldn't help but feel extra grateful for all that
we have. it may not be much, but we are together and that's what makes
it feel like home. and christmas with a new baby? well that is always
just so much fun!
christmas
morning was spent sleeping in and enjoying pumpkin spice waffles and
hot cocoa (and a much needed latte for mama). we give each of the kids
two gifts - a toy and a book - and a little treat in their stocking.
they can open their stockings whenever they wake up but we wait and do
presents after everyone is up. henry
just couldn't wait to open presents and was trying his hardest to be
patient, poor guy! we had a lot of fun and i'm sure much of today will
be spent playing with their new toys as well!
henry waiting to open presents! trying oh so hard to be patient:
and then he opens this and points out that the toy is inaccurate because penguins and polar bears don't live in the same hemisphere...oh how i love henry! he is channeling his explorer ancestor roald amundsen:

lovely pictures, as always! may your new year be filled with the peace of our saviour!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these photos! They are so inspirational and filled with beauty! May I ask where you got the play pasta from? Is it a German brand?
