December is officially upon us and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Whew. We've been super busy making up for last year when we spent the entire holiday season fixing up our home and getting ready to move in. We were so exhausted! Naomi and I were just recalling how we would drive out here after Kenji would get home from working late and we'd work on the house and then get back home and crawl into bed at 1 in the morning, sometimes later! The roads were so icy, one night the car skidded on the ice and all I could think was how scary it would've been to go into a ditch in the middle of the night when it was just the two of us! Ugh. So glad we got through that whole month. And so thankful to be settled into our home this year!
We've been taking in all of our favorite holiday festivities (I'm dying over this picture of Naomi watching the same parade from her papa's shoulders when she was little!) and already have most of our Christmas shopping done, which must be some kind of record for me. The kids loved visiting Santa Claus where Eleanor asked for her very own rocking horse for Christmas. And Henry, for like the 6th year in a row said all he really wants for Christmas is for his sister Naomi to have the best holiday ever. UH TEARS. He is so sweet. These kids really are the best.
